bonfire

when i went home for general conference i went to a bonfire with my high school friends. it was great to see them again, and to just chill and have fun. in the pix on the bottom left its Shantel, then me. in the middle is Kaden. on the top left its carrie, ashly, and some girl that was there. . . .when we were in high school kaden would always be with all of the girls, and it hasn't changed. all the guys were sitting around the fire talking and kaden was over with us. so we had to take a picture! he looks pleases with himself doesn't he? we had a lot of fun together so it was awesome. a lot of them were running through the fire. carrie of course caught her pants on fire when she ran through one time. i was watching her and when she ran out then i yelled at her, "Carrie! You're on fire!" she just calmly looked down at her pants and stomped it out as matt ran over to help her. it was so funny lol

THE SPIDER dun dun dun!!!!

So Vanessa and i are pretty much the biggest nerds/chickens! hahaha she had a spider in her room on her ceiling and she hates spiders more than i do, so she was too scared to do anything. i didn't want to help her because i hate spiders too, but since i love her i came to the rescue. (ha! me coming to the rescue about a spider, who would have thought?! haha) i got a newspaper and rolled it up, and stepped into her room. she was standing on a chair (and our chairs are very precarious, they might as well be called rocking chairs cause they are not safe to step/stand or even lean back when you sit on them) with a tissue in her hand looking fearfully up at a fairly big black spider. i told her i would save her, but if the spider fell on me then i would hate her forever! (just kidding of course) i got up on the chair, and it took me a moment to gather the courage to hit it, i was really worried it was gonna fall on me! i wacked it and it almost did fall on us!!!! we weren't sure where it had landed at first until it moved slightly and then vanessa attacked it by stomping on it. The funniest part though was when it fell we both screamed at the same time hahaha we are such chickens!!! it was a good moment though and we were laughing pretty hard about it.

Birthday Party Photos

We recorded the Happy Birthday song and her blowing out the candles on the video camera so I don't have very many pictures. But, she loves the princess dress and jewelry!

Fondue Night

Me and my roomies decided to have a fondue night at about midnight! we had tons of food as you can see! Mckel had a 50$ gift card and she decided to use it on fondue night :) it was all way good, and it was so much fun! these girls are already my best friends :) the picture on the left is of all the girls of C204! starting in the back left is McKel-iO, Vanessa, Me; front left is Steph, Leesha, and Linz. Leeshe was so tired she kept saying, "is this a dream? cause i've seriously been dreaming about fondue!" hahaha it was so funny. the picture on the right is of me, Nessa, Stephers, Leesha, and Linzers. you can see all of our food! the fondue pot was way cute, it was shaped like a silver hersheys kiss :) but the chocolate was heated up by a candle, so we cheated and did it in the microwave lol

New Job

I will be starting a new job on October 1st for Webb Audio/Visual. I will be one of their video directors and lead man in moving the company forward in more creative video productions. Webb mainly does conventions and things of this nature that require large projectors, stages, lights, and scenary.

I am sad to leave Rivetal but the offer from Webb was one we could not turn down. It will be a lot of overtime (which isn't all that exciting) but I will be getting paid hourly so overtime isn't a bad thing, especially when you start to hit double and triple overtime pay. We really want to get out of debt and this is the best opportunity for that right now.

Working for Webb will be a new and challenging adventure and one that will hopefully allow us to move forward in our lives in accomplishing our financial goals.

After I start I will make another post on how it is all going.
